Alhaji Dr. Kandeh Yumkella performs the Umrah pilgrimage in the Holy City of Mecca, Saudi Arabia

Understanding the importance of spirituality and fulfilling pilgrimage is a critical element to good leadership. It inspires morality and promotes human values.

Alhaji Yumkella understands when politics lacks spirituality, it is contaminated with all kinds of unscrupulous and unethical predictors be it cronyism, divide and conquer, corruption, sycophancies, greed and selfishness you name it.

Just like great leaders Mahatma Ghandi and Martin Luther-King; Kandeh is striving to use his ecumenical culture of faith  to promote and shape his sacred obligations towards humanity and good governance for the people of Sierra Leone.

When Allah is for you, no one can be against you.

Abu Darda Radiyallu Anhu reports that Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam said, "Allah says, 'I am Allah besides whom there is no Deity, the Master of kings, and emperor of all emperors. Verily the heart of kings are in control of My hands. When My servants obey me, I turn the hearts of kings and rulers towards them so that they rule over them with mercy and kindness, and when My servants disobey Me, I reverse the hearts of kings and rulers to treat them harshly, with anger and vengeance. Thereby they mete out torture and oppression. Hence do not occupy yourselves with praying for curses upon kings and instead turn to Me in remembrance and with humility. And I will preserve you against the tyranny of the kings."

Today Friday 10/30/15, Alhaji Kandeh Yumkella according to the teachings is in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in a pilgrimage humbly performing Umrah.

Confidently with Allah's blessings and guidance after this journey of moral spiritual significance; inshallah, Alhaji Yumkella will return to his people even more enlightened to lead their HOPES and their FUTURE.

May Allah Ta'aala guide him to remain pious and make him his chosen good leader to redeem Sierra Leone come 2017/18.

Let's make dua for Alhaji Kandeh and for good leadership. May Allah accept the dua.

Jumma Mubarak...
